Youth Swim Development Clinic • Register • View Cart •

Program Overview:
Our Youth Swim Development Clinic is designed for young swimmers in grades 3 - 8 who are currently involved in competitive swimming and are eager to enhance their skills.  This comprehensive program will have a focus on the development and refinement of all competitive strokes - freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke - along with starts and turns.  

Program Highlights:
This program will meet 2 times per week and operate for a total of 5 weeks.
  • Knowledgeable Instruction: This program will be run by Blue Mountain Varsity Swim Coach, Pete Sarnes, along with membrs of the Blue Mountain Varsity Swim Team.  Assisted by our BMR Sharks Swim Team coaches.
  • Stroke Instruction:  Each week will be dedicated a different stroke with the fifth being dedicated to starts and turns.
  • Personalized Coaching:  Each session will be capped at 24 participants to ensure that each swimmer receives tailored coaching to maximize their development throughout the session.
  • Proceeds from this program will benefit the Blue Mountain Varsity Swim Team!

Schedule:
Duration: 5-week program
Sessions: Twice a week (Monday's & Wednesday's)
Time: 1-Hour Session
          Group 1, Grades 3-5: 6:00PM - 7:00PM
          Group 2, Grades 6-8: 7:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Week 1, Mar. 31 & Apr. 2: Freestyle
  • Week 2, April 7 & 9: Backstroke
  • Week 3, April 14 & 16: Butterfly
  • Week 4. April 21 & 23: Breaststroke
  • Week 5, April 28 & 30: Starts & Turns
Location:
Blue Mountain Middle School Pool - Glen Belmont Natatorium

Registration:
  • Blue Mtn. Shark Swim Team Participant: $80 total
  • Blue Mtn. Resident: $100 total
  • Non-Resident: $150 total

Participant Breakdown:
  • Group 1: Grades 3-5
  • Group 2: Grades 6-8

Disclaimer: This program is intended for children who have participated in competitive swimming.  This program is not a replacement for swim lessons.  Any participant deemed by the coaches as not ready for the program will be removed with a full refund.
