Summer Playground Field Trips
**STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN ALBRIGHTS, CRESSONA OR WEST PLAYGROUND IN ORDER TO ENROLL IN THESE FIELD TRIPS**
Please note that departure/return times on this registration page are APPROXIMATE and will be finalized before each trip in accordance with registration numbers and transportation needs
*Trip 1: Glow Bowling at Strike Zone Alleys (Friday, June 21)
Cost: $20 per person
Deadline: June 19 @ noon
Departure/Return: 10:00 am - 2:30 pm (approximate)
Information: The Playground Program will travel to Strike Zone in Pottsville on June 21 for a day of glow bowling. Campers can bring a lunch or purchase food at the Strike Zone concession stand. Participants are required to wear their blue field trip tshirt, socks, and sneakers or other soft-soled shoes. NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS.
Cost of $20.00 includes transportation, bowling shoes, and games bowled. All participants will bowl at least 2 games. The arcade will be open for the last hour of the day, so campers can bring money to play games if they choose.
*Trip 2 - Roller Roost Sports Arena (Wednesday, June 26)
Cost: $15 per person
Deadline: June 16 @ noon
Departure/Return: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm (approximate)
Information: The Little Eagles Day Camp and Playground programs will travel to the Roller Roost Sports Arena in Pottsville on June 26 for a day of roller skating, basketball and laser tag. Participants can bring a lunch or purchase food at the roller Roost concession stand (hot dogs, pizza, soft pretzels, popcorn, drinks etc.). Participants are also reminded to wear their blue camp tshirt, socks, sneakers or similar soft soled shoes. NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS.
Cost of $15.00 includes transportation, roller skates and laser tag equipment. There will be skating in the full rink for the first two hours, while the rink will be divided for skating and/or basketball for the third hour. The arcade will be open as well, so if participants want to play in the arcade, they must bring money (games are $.50 and $1.00).
Waiver Reminder: The Roller Roost requires each parent/guardian to fill out an online liability waiver prior to the trip. You will be emailed a link prior to our trip that must be completed by Wednesday, June 19 at 12:00 pm. This waiver can also be found on the Roller Roost's website (rollerroostsportsarena.weebly.com/waivers). You may complete this waiver at any time and we strongly encourage you to complete it immediately after registering your child for this trip.
Note: If you've already been to the Roller Roost and filled out an online waiver, you DO NOT have to fill out another one.
Students who's waivers are not received prior to departure will not be able to get on the bus for this trip.
*Trip 3: Cressona Pool Swim Day (Monday, July 1)
Cost: $10
Deadline: June 21 @ noon
Departure/Return: 12 pm - 3 pm (approximate)
BMRC Playground program will travel to the Cressona Pool on Monday, July 1 for a swim day!
Cost includes ticket price and a voucher for a free slushie. Students should pack sunblock, a towel, and money for concessions (or a packed lunch!)
Students will be required to pass a swim test administered by Cressona Pool Lifeguards upon arrival in order to swim in the deep end and use diving board/slide.
Cressona Playground attendees should be dropped off directly at the pool, NO STAFF WILL BE ONSITE at Cressona Playground this morning.
*Trip 4 - Reading IMAX Movie Theatre (Thursday, July 11)
COME SEE Despicable Me 4 IN IMAX!!!
Cost: $23 per person (includes transportation, movie ticket and a snack pack consisting of a small popcorn, drink and gummi snacks)
Deadline: July 1 at noon
Departure/Return: 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (approximate)
Information: The Little Eagles Day Camp and playground programs will travel to the Reading IMAX theatre for a private showing to watch everyone's favorite villian, Gru, and his minions in Despicable Me 4 in IMAX. Participants are also required to wear their playground tshirts.
Cost of $23 includes transportation, movie ticket and a snack pack consisting of a small popcorn, drink and a pack of gummie snacks. Concessions will be available for purchase on site as well.
*Trip 5 - Camelbeach Outdoor Water park (Thursday, July 18)
Cost: $70 per person (includes a $15 meal voucher and bus transportation)
Deadline: July 5 @ noon
Departure/Return: 8:45 am - 6:30 pm (approximate)
Information: The Playground program and Little Eagles Camp will travel to Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark in Tannersville on July 18.
Cost of the trip includes bus transportation, a water park ticket and a $15 food voucher that can be used within the park. Tickets provide unlimited use of all water attractions, including slides, family activity pool, adventure river, tubes, wave pool etc.
Meal choices available with the voucher include: pizza, chicken fingers, hot dogs, hamburger/cheeseburger, with French fries and a soda/water). Outside food/drink are not permitted.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Students are required to wear their blue playground t-shirt for this trip. Any child not wearing his/her shirt will not be allowed on the bus. In addition, it is recommended to wear suits under clothes and bring clean/dry clothing for the trip home. Please pack a towel and labeled sunscreen, as well as any additional money in a labeled bag.
As a group, we have reserved a private indoor space to cool off in and store our bags and personal belongings throughout the day, but we highly recommend only packing what your student will need inside the park.
PLEASE NOTE: There are height restrictions on some attractions in this park, so younger/smaller students may find themselves limited in their choices of activity. Parents - Please keep this in mind when registering your child. We highly recommend checking out Camelbeach's website for more information if you are uncertain if this trip will work for your child.
*Trip 6 - Reading Phillies Private Tour Event (Wednesday, July 24)
Cost: $50 per person
Deadline: July 10 @ noon
Departure/Return: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm (approximate)
Information: The BMRC Playground program and Little Eagles Day camp will travel to First Energy Stadium in Reading Pa on Wednesday, July 24th for a private tour of the R-Phils home field!
Campers will enjoy a physical tour of the facility, use of the pool and splash zone (pack suits and towels!), free access to Phun-zone games and activities, a visit with the Mascots, a catered buffet lunch and the opportunity to play games on the field.
Price includes transportation, buffet lunch and access to all the above amenities.
Students are required to wear their blue camp tshirts for this trip. Please wear sneakers, but pack suits, towels and sunblock and/or hats, as students will have access to both sunny and shaded spaces throughout our visit.
*Trip 7 - Xtreme Air @ the Works (Thursday, August 1)
Cost: $26/person
Deadline: July 21 @ noon
Departure/Return: 10:15am - 2:00pm
Information: Playground and Day Camp will travel to The Works in Reading to enjoy the Xtreme Air attraction. This newly renovated attraction currently features an assortment of thrilling slides, ziplines, trapeze, stunt jump platforms and a sports court. Students should bring a packed lunch and drink, as food/drink will not be provided by the facility. Participants are required to wear blue playground tshirts for this trip.
NOTE: All participants are required to wear "grip socks" for this trip. If you've been to Xtreme air or another trampoline park in the past, you can bring grip socks from home. Otherwise they may be purchased on site the day of the trip for $3/pair + tax. Due to health and safety protocols, students WILL NOT be permitted to jump barefoot.
Cost for this trip includes transportation and two hours of unlimited access to the entire facility.
WAIVER REMINDER: Xtreme air requires each parent/guardian to fill out an online liability waiver prior to the trip. You will be emailed a link prior to the trip that must be completed by Weds, July 24 at 12:00 pm. You may do this at any time and it is strongly recommended that you fill out this waiver immediately after registering for this trip. Students who's waivers are not received prior to departure will not be able to get on the bus for this trip.
*Trip 8 - Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom (Thursday, August 8)
Cost: $60
Deadline: July 21 @ noon
Departure/Return: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm (approximate)
Information: The Playground Program will travel to Dorney park and Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown on Thursday, Aug 7 to finish off our summer with a day of amusement and water rides!Participants are required to wear their blue camp tshirts for this trip. Students are also required to wear socks and sneakers or other soft-soled shoes. NO FLIP FLOPS OR SANDALS. Students should have a sunscreen labeled with their name, either stored with the staff or packed for the day and swimwear can be packed in a small bag or worn underneath.
Cost for this trip includes transportation, admission and a catered lunch consisting of choice of 3 entrees, 2 sides, drink and dessert. Your ride ticket/wristband will give you access to all rides within your height limit.
DORNEY PARK IS A CASHLESS VENUE. If you want your child to have spending money for this trip they MUST be given a gift card with that amount loaded onto it. Students will be responsible for their own gift cards. We will make exceptions for our youngest children, obviously, and will assist with money management as needed at parent request.
Staging areas and staff contact info will be released closer to the date of the trips for parents who would like to accompany or attend any field trip venue with their child. Please reach out for information.
