The program relies on volunteer coaches! All clearances are good for 5 years and are free to obtain!

Youth Basketball Program Grades 3rd - 12th:

The purpose of the program is to teach the game of basketball to children of all skills and ability levels in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. This program is proud to serve over 250 children each year. Each team will play approximately 8-10 games per season.

Please opt in for email reminders and other news. Players are drafted to teams. Practices and games will be held Monday through Thursday. We will also host games on Saturday mornings. Games/practices will be held at the various gyms throughout the Blue Mountain School District. The program runs from November through March. No activities will be held from December 22nd through January 1st. Schedules can and will be adjusted due to weather, or space availability.

Boys Division 1 (3rd and 4th Grade)
Boys Division 2 (5th and 6th Grade)
Boys Division 3 (7th and 8th Grade)
Boys HS (9th- 12th Grade)

Girls Division A (3rd and 4th Grade)
Girls Division B (5th – 7th Grade)
Girls HS (8th – 12th Grade)

Draft Nights: Please see below for information regarding draft nights. Reminder, draft nights are encouraged but not mandatory. If your player misses the draft, they will be randomly assigned to a team by the supervisor and director.

Draft Night 1 Wednesday November 6th - West Elementary:
6-6:30pm - Girls Division A
7-7:30pm - Boys Division 1
8-8:30pm - Boys Division 2

Draft Night 2 Tuesday November 19th - Location West Elementary:
6-6:30pm - Girls Division B
7-7:30pm - Girls HS Division

Draft Night 3 Thursday November 21st - Location West Elementary:
6-6:30pm - Boys Division 3
7-7:30pm - Boys HS Division

HEAD COACH ONLY MEETING Divisions A, 1, and 2 - November 4th 7pm at the Recreation Office.

*New for this year!* Players will be run through a series of drills focusing on the five skills (ball handling, dribbling, passing, court footwork, and shooting). Once their 30-minute session is done, players and guardians will be asked to leave. Coaches will send out an email, text message, or Team Reach/Team Snap within the next business day to their team.

Head Coaches: Please arrive 15 minutes early to your draft night.
